I know it’s mid March already but seeing as some of us are twiddling our thumbs at home, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to have a little beauty chat on my blog and share with you a handful of products which made an impact on me last year.
I don’t move far from what I like and know and I’m very happy living in the comfort zone when it comes to beauty. I just tend to have my OG ‘holy grails’ which I religiously use and it takes a lot to muscle your way into that team of skincare. However the products below have made a long-lasting impression, so they therefore are worth raving about.
ELEMIS Soothing Apricot Toner.
The most beautiful toner I have ever used. Not only does it smell a dream, it is delicate on your skin and leaves it feeling nourished and tight all at the same time. Cannot recommend this enough if you want the perfect gentle toner to add to your skincare regime. {it comes in a spray bottle too, which is easy to use and allows you to lightly spritz your face with the perfect amount/
NUXE Ultra Nourishing Honey Lip Balm.
I have tried MANY lip balms, creams, oils and masks in my time and everything goes on great to start with but then doesn’t actually work wonders on my lips. I tend to use my lip products before bed and this beautiful honey product by Nuxe is the only thing that actually works. It feels like such a luxury product + the honey isn’t overwhelming.
DERMALOGICA Intensive Moisture Balance.
I now couldn’t use any other moisturiser. This has well and truly spoilt me. I use this every day without fail and I noticed a huge difference to how supple and smoother my skin was. I’m a big fan of all Dermalogica products and my skin can be pretty fussy with what it accepts and what it doesn’t but it definitely seems to drink their range with no complaints. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy a thick cream to start your day.
PHILOSOPHY Anti-Wrinkle Miracle Worker Eye Cream.
This products answered all my prayers. I’m in my 30s now and it is a BLUR product from the Gods. I use it every day as part of my makeup regime, right after my primer. I use it lightly around the eye area and it definitely reduces the appearance of fine lines. {this also makes applying you eye liner a walk in the park because it provides the perfect smooth base}
LAURA MERCIER Foundation Primer Radiance.
I had heard great things about this product but only after trying it once did I notice a natural radiance to my skin which transformed the way my makeup looked that day. I can’t recommend this enough. It is a lightweight gel consistency which creates the perfect canvas for your foundation and provides a warm glow to your skin which shines through.
ELEMIS Pro Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream.
I have tried many night creams in my time and this one is my favourite. This product is nearly all used up sadly but I will definitely be re-purchasing. It has such a rich consistency and I wake up the next day feeling as though my skin has soaked up all that goodness and actually benefitted from the generous layer overnight.
NARS Cosmetics Illuminator – Hot Sand.
This has been a little game changer in my makeup routine, I prefer a more natural cream glow over your powder highlight lately, so I now use this instead of my becca highlight during the week. It goes on a dream and leaves the perfect sun-kissed sheen during these drab Winter months. I recommend testing this out, you will never look back.
